1) Do you think the Native American culture will fade away completely in the years to come?

2) Do you agree or disagree that the Native American culture is one of the least thought about in the United States? Considering the large role they played in american history?

  1. I think that the Native American culture will not fade away completely, however they are certainly declining. It is due to many Native Americans going out and seeking a new culture instead of sticking with their own, which is highly different than that of others. It is definitely more spiritual than others, and with the they have been treated in the past, it goes to show how the culture can be almost wiped out with force of a culture with more numbers.

  3. I hope that the Native American culture doesn't completely fade away in the future because I find it as being a very interesting culture. It fascinates me with their beliefs in the Earth and respect.

  4. Native American culture has been fading but many schools are trying to bring back their unique culture. The pride of the Native Americans was snuffed out, and to help them regain their culture we need to bring that back. Younger native americans need to be exposed to their origins so that they can escape the rut that the native american s have been in form many years.

  5. With the world always looking to expand their horizon, I think that they will start to fade but hopefully never disappear fully.

  6. I think that Native American culture is often overlooked and although it is talked about at times in school, we definitely are not given enough information on the topic. I'll be the first to admit that I don't understand it fully, and couldn't tell you anything about any tribe. I think that for how important the Native Americans are to history and our country today, we do not acknowledge it enough.

I agree that the Native American culture is one of the least thought about cultures today, unless it's Thanksgiving. People today might see them differently compared to what they once did 100 years ago, probably not as negative as well. Like Kail said, their culture is declining at what seems to be an alarming rate. That's scaring because the Native Americans played one of the largest roles when forming the United States. Never forget history.

  8. I agree that the Native Americans are not thought about as much as they should be. Like Haley said they are only thought about when it is Thanksgiving. When kids are young, they learn about them for maybe only one unit. Then it is never taught again. I think we should be taught more about the Native Americans and really learn what they did for America because honestly, I have not idea what they did.

  9. Yes, I think the Native American culture will start to fade and maybe disappear, but not for a very long time (like hundreds of years). And it will be very sad when it does, if it does.

  10. I don't think the entire culture will completely fade away over time, but I think many individual or small traditions will become skewed or lost. The culture will never be like the way it was a few hundred years ago, but it won't be completely lost over time.

  11. I think they will fade just like many Cultures before them for instance the vikings... they were way more brutal but my point remains. Despite that I think that Keeping the culture around for as long as possible is a good goal.

  12. I think the Native American culture isn't really thought about. Even though they played a huge role in the formation of our country, many people forget that they are an actual culture, or that they even exist.

  13. I do not think they will ever fade away from outside sources, but I cannot really say if they will ever decide to socialize themselves in the american culture instead of their own.
